ABOUT TYSON FOODS
Tyson Foods began in 1935 when John W. Tyson started hauling chickens for sale from Arkansas, incorporating in 1947 and going public in 1963. It grew through acquisitions, including IBP in 2001, which added large-scale beef and pork processing, and Hillshire Brands in 2014, adding Jimmy Dean and Ball Park to its own Tyson, Hillshire Farm, Wright Brand, Aidells, and State Fair brands. By fiscal 2025, Tyson operated roughly 200 facilities worldwide, employed about 133,000 people, and reported $54.4 billion in revenue.
