ABOUT KOCH FOODS

Koch Foods was founded in 1973 by Fred Koch as a small deboning operation, then grew under Joseph Grendys, who joined in 1984, took full ownership by 1992, and remains the private owner today. Acquisitions such as Aspen Foods in 1995 helped the company pass $1 billion in revenue by 2004 and roughly $3 billion by the mid-2010s, with about 14,000 employees at that time. Headquartered in Park Ridge, Illinois, the company now runs poultry processing operations across Alabama, Georgia, Illinois, Mississippi, Ohio, and Tennessee. It sells chicken products under several brand names, including Koch Foods, Antioch Farms, Preferred Foods, and Rogers Royal.
