THE QUICK READ
Peco Foods' Sebastopol plant processes chicken parts into cuts and value-added products for retail and foodservice customers, with crews handling deboning, packaging, and cold storage throughout the day. The facility's 52,862-pound ammonia charge runs more than five times the 10,000-pound federal threshold that triggers a formal process safety management program, and Peco Foods maintains one here. Over 1,000 workers are on site at the Sebastopol plant.
