THE QUICK READ
Andros Foods North America's plant in Mt. Jackson, Virginia processes apples and other fruit into pouches, sauces, and private-label products, with lines that prep bulk fruit, fill pouches, and package finished goods for retail and food-service customers. The site holds roughly 11,651 pounds of ammonia — enough to require a formal process safety management program, since federal rules kick in at 10,000 pounds. A 2023 expansion added a new production building and an on-site research and development center next to the original plant.
