THE QUICK READ
Known as the Willow Springs location, Americold's York, Pennsylvania warehouse carries a 12,000-pound ammonia refrigeration charge and employs around 12 people. York sits in south-central Pennsylvania between Harrisburg and the Maryland border, placing the facility within a day's drive of Philadelphia, Baltimore, Washington, and New York. That mid-Atlantic positioning makes the warehouse useful for food distribution across some of the most populated counties on the East Coast.
