THE QUICK READ
Americold is adding 327,000 square feet and 37,000 new pallet positions to its Fogelsville facility near Allentown, one of only a handful of expansion projects the company has underway across its entire network. The site operates as a Forward Distribution Center, positioned to push products into the heavily populated northeastern United States and the New York-New Jersey corridor. The expansion signals significant investment in Mid-Atlantic cold chain capacity at a location that already employs over 130 people.
