THE QUICK READ
Pinellas Provision Corporation operates as Centerpoint Meats & Provisions in St. Petersburg, a foodservice distributor that portions and ships beef, pork, poultry, lamb, veal, and seafood to restaurants across the Greater Tampa Bay area. It is a small, USDA-inspected plant with roughly two dozen employees — daily work centers on portion-controlled steaks and chops, keeping product moving through cold storage and out to local kitchens. The Reese family bought the business in 2002, but the location has supplied independently owned restaurants since 1972, and the family's roots in meat reach back further — to a butcher shop in Pennsylvania and a grandfather who sold regionally for Armour.
