ABOUT PILGRIM'S PRIDE
Pilgrim's Pride began in 1946 as a feed store in Pittsburg, Texas, started by brothers Lonnie 'Bo' and Aubrey Pilgrim. The company grew through acquisitions, including ConAgra Foods' chicken division in 2003 and Gold Kist in 2006, becoming one of the largest chicken producers in the United States and Puerto Rico and the second-largest in Mexico. It moved its headquarters to Greeley, Colorado in 2011. Pilgrim's Pride trades on the Nasdaq under the ticker PPC and is majority owned by Brazil-based JBS USA Holdings. As of 2017, the company employed about 35,700 people and reported revenue of $10.7 billion.
