THE QUICK READ
NEP Cold Storage runs a 15-acre frozen-food warehouse in northeast Philadelphia with eight million cubic feet of fully racked, temperature-controlled space, serving the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast markets. The facility carries a 27,000-pound ammonia charge under a full PSM program, so the refrigeration team manages a sizable industrial system day and night. On-site USDA inspectors certify frozen meats for export, and the warehouse holds both HACCP and customs-bonded status, which means strict temperature discipline across the board. About 160 people keep operations moving, with I-95 and the Pennsylvania Turnpike feeding a steady flow of cold-chain freight in and out.
