In 2020, DFA acquired 44 processing facilities from Dean Foods for $433 million, becoming the largest fluid milk producer in the United States. The business processes and distributes milk under brands including Dean's, Meadow Gold, Garelick Farms, DairyPure, Breakstone's, and Kemps. DFA is privately held rather than publicly traded, with headquarters in Kansas City, Kansas.
