Conagra Brands began in 1919 as Nebraska Consolidated Mills, a grain-milling company founded by Alva Kinney in Nebraska. It became ConAgra in 1971, then ConAgra Foods in 2000, and took its current name in 2016 when it moved headquarters to Chicago. It grew through acquisitions including Banquet, Armour, Beatrice Foods, Marie Callender's, Ralcorp, and Pinnacle Foods, the last of which added Birds Eye in 2018.
