• 2+ years ammonia refrigeration experience in industrial/cold‑storage.

• EPA 608 Universal; strong LOTO, confined space, and hot‑work habits.

• Comfortable with 480V 3‑phase, VFDs, and reading P&IDs.

• Proficient with CMMS for rounds, PMs, and parts tracking.

• Willing to work 12‑hour nights and occasional planned OT.

What You’ll Do

• Run daily rounds: compressors, condensers, evaporators, pumps, purgers, and defrosts.

• Adjust setpoints; verify superheat/subcooling and suction/discharge targets.

• Keep oil management tight: separators, level controls, drains, and logs.

• Perform PMs and repairs: valve rebuilds, gasket/seal replacement, motor and VFD swaps.

• Monitor controls (PLC/HMI); acknowledge alarms; escalate per SOP.

• Maintain relief system integrity: inspections, tagging, and test documentation.

• Water‑treat condensers; clean strainers; manage scale and microbiological growth.

• Complete shift reports, logbooks, and work orders with clear notes and follow‑ups.

Skills & Experience

• Familiar with PSM/RMP elements: SOPs, MOC, PHA participation, incident/near‑miss reports.

• RETA CARO/CIRO or progress toward certification preferred.

• Hands‑on with screw/recip compressors, evaporative condensers, pump recirculation.

• Basic PLC I/O; reads ladder; interfaces with controls technicians.

• Instrumentation: pressure/temperature transmitters, photoeyes, flow and level switches.

• Strong troubleshooting: freeze‑ups, non‑condensables, defrost failures, and leaks.

• Comfortable with torqueing, alignment, vibration basics, and thermal imaging.

• Clear communicator; keeps stakeholders informed and documentation audit‑ready.
