The facility is looking for a Refrigeration Supervisor who can take ownership of daily operations, ensure compliance with PSM/RMP programs, and keep ammonia systems running safely and efficiently. Top 5 Must-Haves
• 5+ years of experience in industrial ammonia refrigeration systems
• Strong knowledge of PSM/RMP compliance and IIAR/RETA standards
• Hands-on leadership skills with the ability to guide and train techs
• Experience troubleshooting compressors, condensers, and control systems
• Willingness to work night shift in a cold storage environment

What You’ll Do
• Supervise night-shift refrigeration and maintenance technicians
• Monitor ammonia systems for proper operation, pressures, and temperatures
• Lead PMs, inspections, and work orders in alignment with PSM/RMP programs
• Perform and document emergency shutdowns, startups, and incident responses
• Coordinate system repairs, calibrations, and audits with management and contractors
• Maintain accurate logs, compliance documentation, and CMMS records
• Train and mentor team members on LOTO, PPE, and safety standards
• Communicate daily updates with production, QA, and engineering teams

Skills & Experience
• Strong working knowledge of industrial ammonia and Freon systems
• RETA CARO or CIRO certification preferred (or ability to obtain)
• Familiar with Allen-Bradley controls, VFDs, and basic PLC troubleshooting
• Solid mechanical and electrical understanding — 480V, control circuits, motors
• Proficient with CMMS platforms and refrigeration monitoring systems
• Demonstrated leadership in high-volume refrigerated operations
• OSHA-30 or Process Safety Management training highly valued
• Strong documentation, communication, and organizational skills

Pay & Schedule
• $84,000–$107,000 annually, depending on experience
• Night shift schedule (includes differential pay)
• Occasional weekend or call-in work may be required
