Location: Bowie, MD – Hybrid/Field Requirements Your Responsibilities: Administer safety programs for the Boiler Service team and ensure job-site compliance, including training, documentation, audits, and reporting. Support sales by assisting with quotations and estimates; review scopes, labor and material costs, assess profit risk, control project expenses, and provide feedback to the District Manager. Establish project timelines, coordinate schedules with customers, assign Boiler Service technicians, manage equipment and material orders, and secure all required customer signoffs. Provide leadership, supervision, coaching, and professional development for the Boiler Service technician team. Oversee call-in and transactional service quotes, ensuring timely pricing, proper technician assignment, and effective customer response. Maintain regular communication with existing customers and build strong relationships to identify additional service, repair, and sales opportunities. Ensure maintenance contract commitments, inspections, and preventative maintenance activities are completed on schedule while partnering with the Service Coordinator to optimize technician utilization. Work closely with technicians to identify pull-through repair opportunities, support customer-care initiatives, and promote proactive service recommendations. Establish technician performance goals and conduct annual performance reviews in a timely manner. Coordinate technical and leadership training with the training department and provide training plans and budget recommendations to the District Manager. Partner with Service Sales and the District Manager to resolve customer concerns and participate in customer visits as needed. Provide weekly updates to the District Manager regarding job status, revenue performance, backlog, and warranty recovery. Monitor warehouse, truck, tool, and inventory management activities; approve equipment and tool purchases as necessary. Provide technical guidance on commercial and industrial HVAC and boiler systems, including troubleshooting, maintenance strategies, system assessments, and code-compliant solutions. Review Foreman and Project Manager plans for feasibility, identify potential issues, and assist with on-site troubleshooting when needed. Manage overall Boiler Service operations, including staffing, scheduling, resource allocation, performance management, and compliance with safety standards, industry regulations, and applicable building codes. Your Qualifications Associate’s degree OR relevant experience paired with a technical/trade school HVAC certification. 2-4 years of people leadership experience Associate’s degree OR relevant experience paired with a technical/trade school HVAC certification. Experience with commercial and industrial boiler systems, including troubleshooting, maintenance, and service operations. Working knowledge of hydronic, steam, and hot water boiler systems is preferred. The typical annual base salary for this position ranges from $101,000 to $144,800 plus a targeted sales incentive plan in Maryland. The range displayed represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade which this position falls.
