Candidates shall have experience doing disassembly and assembly of centrifuges. Colleagues will work in a team atmosphere to repair and rebuild centrifuges. Traveling outside of Decatur is not required. Overtime will be worked as needed. Skill sets for this position includes: Disassemble centrifuges to remove parts and make repairs Examine parts for defects such as breakage or excessive wear Repair or replace broken or malfunctioning parts of the centrifuge Clean, lubricate or adjust centrifuge parts. Repair or maintain the operating conditions of the centrifuges to OEM specifications Reassemble centrifuges after completion of inspections or repairs Record repairs and maintenance performed Study blueprints or manufacturers’ manuals to determine correct repair and assembly Record parts or materials used Accurately documenting failure analysis and repair steps taken Test run equipment after repair and take vibration readings Other Qualifications: Able to work safely in a team environment and be quality conscience Able to climb stairs and ladders, sit and stand for extended periods of time Able to use precision measuring tools including but not limited to, Vernier calipers, OD Micrometers, ID Micrometers, Bore Gauges, and dial indicators. Able to lift 50 pounds Able to read and interpret blueprints Exhibit regular and prompt attendance Display strong communication skills (oral and written) High school diploma/GED is required ADM requires the successful completion of a background check.
