Responsible for performing routine and emergency repair duties following all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Standard Operation Procedures (SOPs), Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) processes, Quality Control guidelines, and safety procedures. Wears required personal protective equipment (PPE). Maintains good housekeeping in assigned areas consistent with GMP. Maintains accurate records, reports, and documentation. Performs emergency repairs as needed. Monitors and inspects equipment and machinery for mechanical soundness. Makes necessary repairs and escalates complex issues. Performs preventative maintenance. Maintains and secures issued tools. Reports any tools missing or damaged. Attends meetings, including safety meetings and trainings. We challenge ourselves and our company to constantly learn, develop, grow, improve, and innovate Essential Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Some experience in metal fabrication, feed equipment mechanics, electrical wiring, and motors Good reading, writing, and math skills Ability to operate relevant equipment (i.e., forklift, tractor, shuttle wagon, etc.) Detail-orientated with the ability to maintain accuracy in data entry Ability to follow detailed instructions Good communication, organization, time-management, and multi-tasking skills Ability to work flexible hours and be on call as needed Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be regularly required to stand, sit, talk, hear, reach, stoop, kneel, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer, telephone, keyboard, and occasionally lift up to 55 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, color vision and the ability to adjust focus. Physical Demands Work will be performed in a variety of conditions including a climate-controlled office environment(s) and in a manufacturing plant environment with varying conditions, such as cold areas, wet areas, warm areas, chemicals, and other site conditions. This position requires the individual to wear and work in personal protective equipment while in the manufacturing environment. The noise level of the office environment is usually moderate; the noise level in the manufacturing environment may exceed 85 DBA and require hearing protection. Occasional travel may be required.
