With a customer-first mindset, we make doing business with McCain easy.\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nAbout the role.\r\n\r\nThe Reliability Engineer is responsible for overall leadership to mechanics, project engineers and managers in determining and carrying out the best maintenance practices for equipment reliability and total cost of ownership. The Reliability Engineer works independently or as team members to assess, design, train and implement preventive maintenance (PM), Predictive Maintenance (PdM) and reliability continuous improvement programs. Reliability Professionals have diverse experience in organizational management, maintenance and reliability, as well as practical experience in plant reliability and/or maintenance management. These individuals normally have exceptional skills and knowledge in particular areas such as work flow management, PM optimization, maintenance technology and/or reliability continuous improvement through FMEA, RCA, RCM, Life Cycle Cost Analysis, and other statistical methods. Reliability Professionals have expertise in process measurement as it relates to assessing current performance, trending and documenting improvement results. \r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nWhat you’ll be doing.\r\n\r\n\r\n\tAide in the development of alarms designed to determine and verify acceptable operations. \r\n\tAnalyze plant wide failure data and downtime scenarios to calculate relevant trigger points for RCFA. \r\n\tApply reliability analysis methods to new designs to determine system, asset and component reliability. \r\n\tAssist Maintenance Manager and Plant Engineer with reliability analysis of proposed equipment modifications. \r\n\tAttendance/Punctuality - Is consistently at work and on time; Ensures work responsibilities are covered when absent. \r\n\tCatalogue and database the RCA/RCFA results and subsequent action items. \r\n\tCommunicate to inform, engage and inspire. Emphasizes communications as a tool to build collaboration and ensure organizational alignment. \r\n\tConduct employee appraisals and evaluations. \r\n\tDetermine single-point failures. \r\n\tDevelop housekeeping practices to obtain world-class standards. \r\n\tDevelop machinery modification plans to deal with single-point failure scenarios. \r\n\tDevelop commissioning procedures for new system, asset and component design. \r\n\tDevelop specific maintenance and operational start-up procedures for new installations. \r\n\tDevelop specific operational procedure changes to help mitigate future failures. \r\n\tDevelop strategies for OEM warranty issues and claims. \r\n\tDirect and lead the maintenance of a record keeping system consistent with a world class reliability program. \r\n\tDirect and lead those maintaining and developing reliability KPI’s (% worker utilization, % schedule adherence, etc.) in conformance with McCain standards. \r\n\tEnsure adequate staffing and training of new employees. \r\n\tEnsure failure modes addressed are appropriate. \r\n\tEnsure that all failure modes have a job plan on file (both proactive and reactive). \r\n\tFollow the McCain safety, loss prevention and environmental programs by holding themselves and all team members accountable to its tenets. \r\n\tHelp determine the QA/QC test points and procedures to maximize operational reliability. \r\n\tImplement McCain Competitive Edge and Lean Manufacturing practices relative to Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery and People (SQCDP). \r\n\tLead the Root Cause Failure Analysis effort for sporadic equipment failures. \r\n\tMaintain environmental compliance by ensuring all equipment is adequately maintained and operating to design specifications. \r\n\tMake specific recommendations to improve machinery performance and reliability based on analysis of process and failure data. \r\n\tMember of the designated management team for the PSM system, primary responsibilities to include, but not limited to, mechanical integrity,, safe work practices, development of PHA’s and SOP’s, and management of contractors in connection to the PSM system. \r\n\tPerform cost/benefit analysis to set correct frequency of task(s). \r\n\tResponsible for changes to the Equipment Maintenance Plan based on analysis of asset failure data. \r\n\tResponsible for operation and maintenance of Energy Recover System (ERS). Maintaining the health of the system and specifying and writing new projects that are beneficial to the Easton Plant. \r\n\tResponsible for responding to Factory Mutual concerns, recommendations and following up with corrective actions. This would include project writing and management over same. \r\n\tResponsible to develop new equipment purchase specifications for reliability and maintainability. \r\n\tResponsible to perform statistical analysis on machinery failure data
