Position Overview We are looking for a skilled Maintenance Technician to keep our production equipment running safely and efficiently. In this role, you will troubleshoot issues, perform repairs, and complete preventative maintenance on a variety of machinery across the facility. Job Functions Troubleshoot and repair production equipment, including conveyors, motors, sensors, and lifting systemsPerform routine preventative maintenance to reduce downtime and extend equipment lifeInspect equipment, identify wear or damage, and make necessary adjustments or repairsWork with electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systemsRead and follow diagrams, manuals, and technical specifications to complete repairsTest equipment after repairs to ensure proper operationFabricate and repair parts using shop equipment (lathe, mill, drill press, welding tools)Perform MIG and TIG welding on stainless and other metalsSupport line changeovers and assist production teams when neededTroubleshoot basic PLCs, VFDs, and control systemsMaintain accurate maintenance records in the systemOrder and track parts and supplies as neededFollow all safety procedures, including Lockout/Tagout practicesComplete housekeeping tasks and secure equipment at the end of each shiftQualifications: High school diploma or GED (technical training preferred)3+ years of maintenance experience, ideally in a manufacturing or food processing environmentKnowledge of electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and boiler systemsAbility to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawingsHands-on experience with PLCs, VFDs, and industrial equipmentWelding and fabrication skills (stainless steel experience preferred)Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a team Physical & Work Requirements Ability to lift up to 50 lbs Comfortable bending, crouching, standing, and walking for extended periods Willingness to work assigned schedules and overtime as needed Ability to follow safety rules and perform job duties safely Must pass background check and drug screening Foster Farms is always looking for talented individuals to join the Foster Farms Team.
