Job Summary We are seeking a skilled Maintenance MECHANIC to support production by maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing food processing equipment and facility systems. This role is critical to ensuring equipment reliability, food safety, and operational efficiency in a fast-paced, refrigerated environment. Key Responsibilities Perform troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance on electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and vacuum systemsExecute emergency and scheduled repairs on production equipmentSet up and prepare machinery for production runsDiagnose equipment performance issues affecting product quality and safetyRead and interpret equipment manuals, schematics, and work ordersPerform basic welding (MIG, TIG, arc, and spot)Ensure compliance with OSHA and plant safety standards, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO)Support continuous improvement initiatives and operational efficiencyAssist in developing and following standard work proceduresWork Environment Fast-paced production setting with changing priorities and deadlinesWork performed in a refrigerated environmentRequires flexibility for extended shifts and weekend workQualifications High School Diploma or GED requiredTechnical training in mechanical, electrical, PLCs, hydraulics, and pneumatics preferred2–3+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment (food industry preferred)Strong troubleshooting skills in mechanical and electrical systemsExperience with PLC troubleshooting (programming a plus)Ability to lift and maneuver heavy equipmentBilingual (English/Spanish) preferredSchedule 2nd Shift: 3:00 PM until production is completeOvertime and weekend availability requiredPay: $19.00 - $26.00 per hour Benefits: 401(k)Dental insuranceFlexible spending accountHealth insuranceHealth savings accountPaid time offTuition reimbursementWork Location: In person
