Shift 3 PM – 11:30 PM (Monday‑Friday)
Responsible for the operation and maintenance of refrigeration systems while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures. Familiar with ammonia plant systems, electrical refrigeration, and other industrial maintenance.
Conduct preventative maintenance and safety checks throughout area. Complete Tyson Level 1 through 4 Skills Training within eighteen months of placement. Follow Hazmat grooming requirements and become Hazmat Certified. Perform any other work assigned by supervisor/manager. Comply with all safety, food safety, GMP and SQF requirements.
Minimum of 2‑5 years of experience with HVAC or ammonia systems or completion of HVAC school. Experience in industrial/commercial setting preferred. Experience with basic refrigeration systems through technical schools, military training and/or trades. Familiar with plant compressed air systems and water supply systems (e.g., chill water, hot water supply, city water and glycol systems). Member of Hazmat Team and pass required physical. Able to work in harsh environments at temperatures, heat, cold, rain, snow, wind, water, mud, etc. Capable to read, write, use math skills for paperwork. Work competently and efficiently with little or no supervision. Work overtime and/or weekends as needed. Willing to work in and out of –10‑degree temperatures. ‑HIRES 90 days waiting period for former Tyson Foods team members. Maximum of two previous Tyson employments to be considered for hire. Position is for team members currently working at this facility or complex only. Salary and Incentives Pay range: $29.35 per hour. No incentives. Background checks may be required.
