[Source: SimplyHired] Maintenance - Mechanical Technician Food Processing Plant Primary duties of this position are mechanical/electrical troubleshooting and repair of production equipment. Responsibilities include mechanical installation, setup, repair and preventative maintenance of food packaging equipment. Required background skills and minimum qualifications shall include: A minimum of one year experience in troubleshooting, repairing, maintaining and fabricating Industrial Processing Equipment or similar.Must possess a strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to visually inspect, diagnose, and assess intricate production equipment.Hands on aptitude with attitude to learn a plus.The successful candidate must be able to effectively function in a fast-paced team environment with the ability to prioritize tasks to increase production uptime.High school diploma or G.E.D.Must be at least 18 years of ageMust be able to read, write, and speak EnglishMust be flexible to work any shiftMust be available to work weekends and holidaysMust be authorized to work in the United StatesBasic computer skillsJob related mechanical skills will be assessedFood production environment- 38-40 degreesPhysical Demands: Must be able to lift up to 75lbsRegularly required to work around operating equipment, confined spaces, stand, reach, stoop, crawl, walk, climb ladders and bendCold EnvironmentJob Types: Full-time, Temporary Pay: From $50,000.00 per year Benefits: 401(k)Dental insuranceHealth insurancePaid time offWork Location: In person
