We’re a family-owned business founded in 1958 with facilities in Marlborough, Massachusetts; McDonough, Georgia; Las Vegas, Nevada; and Lebanon, Indiana — and more than 1,000 employees nationwide. A day in this role You’ll move throughout the plant and grounds to keep our utilities and process piping performing at their best. Your day may start troubleshooting a steam issue at the boiler, shift to repairing a sump pump, then finish with sanitary welding on stainless process lines. You’ll balance proactive maintenance with on-the-spot problem solving to keep production running safely and efficiently. Pay and schedule Compensation: $38–$48.47 per hour Schedule: First shift, with flexibility to support other shifts as business needs arise What you’ll handle Diagnose and resolve plumbing and piping issues across plant utilities and grounds, including steam boilers, compressed air equipment, sump pumps, irrigation, and interconnected piping Install, maintain, and repair facility, grounds, and industrial process plumbing/piping systems Apply strong pump theory knowledge for operation, service, and overhaul work Leverage pneumatic principles to troubleshoot and repair air-driven systems Perform pipe threading and fitting across iron, steel, stainless steel, copper, and PVC Use PRO Press tools effectively for secure, efficient connections Weld (gas and arc) and solder; perform sanitary welding to certification standards Identify and order replacement parts via OEM manuals, drawings, and prints Document and communicate clearly; follow and provide written and verbal direction Execute preventive and corrective maintenance routines Operate and maintain boiler systems Operate and maintain refrigeration systems Champion plant programs that protect food safety, nurture a strong food safety culture, uphold quality, and keep facilities audit-ready Credentials that set you up for success High school diploma or GED Massachusetts Journeyman Plumber license (required) Certified sanitary welder (preferred) EPA Universal certification (preferred) ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
