If you have industrial or mechanical maintenance experience, we want to hear from you!Maintenance Mechanic - Meat Production PlantSchedule: 1st shift: Monday-Friday; some Saturdays and occasional Sundays. 2nd shift: Monday-Friday; some Saturdays and occasional Sundays. Hours: 1st shift: 6am start. 8-10 Hour days/until production ends. 2nd shift: 2pm start. 8-10 Hour days/until production ends. Pay Rate:1st shift: $24 to $27+ to start based on experience.2nd shift: $24 to $27+ to start based on experience.Safely perform repairs and preventative maintenance on production floor and facilityWork efficiently with production staff to support the day-to-day production processes with a sense of urgencyTroubleshoot and rebuild on all types of food packaging machinery, motors, and similar devicesWork safely with basic electricity, hydraulic, pneumatic, and thermal energyReport any deficiencies to a supervisor in a timely mannerMaintain minimal production down time and solutions to reduce timeCorrect use of lockout/tagout programAccount for tools, utensils and other potentially dangerous equipment that are distributed dailyAttend documented training on company proceduresKeep the maintenance shop and all work areas clean and organizedFollow all HACCP, SSOP’s, SOP’s, and GMP policies and proceduresOther duties as assignedRequirements Working maintenance experience and training in the food processing industry which demonstrates the knowledge and experience to perform the workFood manufacturing background Meat processing background is preferredAbility to lift heavy objects, walk and stand for long periods of timeAbility to use equipment and tools properly and safelyAbility to establish and maintain effective working relationshipsMust have a high math aptitude; be assertive; and be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environmentAble to understand, read, speak, and write in English at 12th grade level for reading machine manuals, schematics, wiring charts, motor repair, MSDS, etc.Must be able to withstand long periods in cold, warm, or wet/damp environmentsHigh School diploma or GEDDress Code: Composite toe or Steel toe safety boots (Waterproof, Slip resistant).
