Shift: 10:00 PM-6:30 AM Hourly Rate: $25.73 an hour + $1.00 shift differential Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, you will support the safe and efficient operation of the ammonia refrigeration system while developing the technical skills required to become a certified refrigeration operator. You will assist with inspections, maintenance, and troubleshooting activities while participating in safety and compliance programs within a manufacturing environment A Taste of Your Responsibilities: Assist with the daily operation and monitoring of the ammonia refrigeration system Conduct routine equipment inspections and report abnormal conditions Support preventive and predictive maintenance activities Learn to safely operate and maintain compressors, condensers, evaporators, pumps, valves, and associated equipment Participate in Process Safety Management and safety programs Follow all company safety procedures, lockout tagout requirements, and environmental regulations Maintain accurate logs, records, and maintenance documentation Respond to refrigeration system alarms and assist with troubleshooting efforts Identify opportunities for process improvement and operational efficiency Collaborate with maintenance, operations, and engineering teams Participate in on call rotations following training Ingredients Required for Your Success: High school diploma or GED required Strong communication skills Technical school coursework or experience in industrial maintenance, heating ventilation and air conditioning, electrical, or mechanical systems or one year of industrial refrigeration or maintenance experience Mechanical aptitude and commitment to continuous learning Strong commitment to safety practices Strong communication and teamwork skills Basic understanding of refrigeration principles preferred Experience using hand and power tools preferred Experience troubleshooting closed loop mechanical refrigeration systems preferred Certified Assistant Refrigeration Operator certification or Certified Industrial Refrigeration Operator certification preferred Operator 1 or Operator 2 training preferred Physical Requirements: More information on the essential tasks and facility will be shared during the hiring process.
