[Source: Randstad USA] A leading food manufacturing facility in South Atlanta is seeking an experienced Ammonia Refrigeration Technician to join the maintenance team. This role requires 5 to 7 years of hands-on experience operating, troubleshooting, and maintaining industrial ammonia refrigeration systems specifically within a high-volume food production plant. The ideal candidate will be a technical expert capable of managing screw and reciprocating compressors, condensers, evaporators, and complex plant utility systems. salary: $74,880 - $79,040 per year shift: Second work hours: 3 PM - 11:30 PM education: High School Responsibilities Execute routine operation, preventative maintenance (PM), and predictive maintenance on industrial ammonia refrigeration equipment (including screw and reciprocating compressors, evaporators, condensers, and pumps). Work strictly within the guidelines of the facility's Process Safety Management (PSM) and Risk Management Programs (RMP). Monitor and test ammonia and fire suppression alarms in compliance with local and federal regulations. Perform sensory inspections (visual, auditory, and olfactory) for system leaks or malfunctions. Accurately document critical pressure, temperature, and fluid levels in daily logs. Diagnose mechanical, plumbing, and electrical faults on PLC/PC-based master refrigeration control systems. Complete corrective work orders (CWOs) cleanly and promptly. Assist production mechanics on utility-related maintenance across aseptic, retort, or packaging lines.
