Position Overview

Apeiron Utility Construction is seeking a Lube and Tire Technician / Entry-Level Fleet Mechanic to support our lead mechanic and help keep trucks, trailers, and construction equipment serviced, inspected, and ready to work. This role combines routine fleet maintenance with tire service, basic brake work, and basic electrical troubleshooting.

Maintenance and Tire Service

· Perform oil and filter changes, lubrication, fluid checks, and scheduled preventive maintenance.

· Perform tire change-outs and tire service on trucks, trailers, and construction equipment.

· Perform basic brake work under the direction of the lead mechanic.

· Inspect equipment during service, document deficiencies, and report safety or reliability concerns.

· Provide general shop support and assist the lead mechanic with maintenance and repairs.

Basic Electrical Work

· Troubleshoot basic 12-volt electrical problems.

· Inspect and repair lights, simple wiring, and trailer plugs and connectors.

· Inspect and replace batteries as needed.

Work Standards and Qualifications

· Ability to perform routine fleet service and tire work and assist with basic mechanical and electrical repairs.

· Careful, thorough inspections and accurate documentation of service needs and deficiencies.

· Work under the lead mechanic's direction and communicate problems promptly.

· Maintain our standard: every vehicle must be safe, dependable, and ready to work. Never ignore a safety or reliability problem.

· Successfully complete a pre-employment background check. Employees performing CDL driving duties must meet applicable DOT medical and pre-employment testing requirements and participate in required random DOT drug and alcohol testing.

· English/Spanish bilingual ability is a bonus.

Pay and Benefits

· Pay $ 22 - $ 28 depending on experience; full-time employment, with overtime
