Run the shop floor and still turn wrenches. Bar M Diesel & Automotive in Beaver, UT is hiring a Lead Diesel Mechanic to lead our mechanics, keep jobs moving and make sure repairs are done right. Pay is $33–$40/hr, plus 401(k) with matching and paid time off. What you'll do - In the shop: Diagnose, repair and inspect semi trucks and equipment. Check quality on all work leaving the shop. Help with roadside repairs or towing when needed. - Leading the team: Assign jobs and keep work on schedule. Train and mentor mechanics. Help with hiring and reviews. Keep the shop safe. - With customers: Explain diagnostics, repairs and timelines. Give estimates and get approvals. Keep service records and job tickets up to date. Work with vendors. What we're looking for - 3+ years as a mechanic, including at least 2 years leading others - Strong diagnostic skills, including computer diagnostics, across a range of vehicles and equipment - Clear communicator with customers and crew - High school diploma or GED. Technical training or certification preferred. - Valid driver's license. CDL preferred.
