Senior Commercial Kitchen & Refrigeration Service Technician

KLR Services is seeking an experienced commercial kitchen equipment and refrigeration technician interested in a long-term career opportunity in the U.S. Virgin Islands.

We service commercial kitchens, restaurants, hotels, and institutional customers throughout the Virgin Islands. We value accurate diagnostics, quality repairs, professional customer relationships, and technicians who take pride in their work.

Compensation and Benefits

• $50–$60 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience
• 40-hour standard workweek, with overtime as applicable
• $50 productivity bonus for each qualifying onsite billable hour above 35 hours in a full scheduled workweek, subject to company policy and verified service records

• Two weeks paid vacation annually, accrued under company policy

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, service, and repair commercial refrigeration equipment, including reach-ins, walk-in coolers, walk-in freezers, and related systems
• Troubleshoot commercial cooking equipment, including gas and electric appliances
• Diagnose electrical, mechanical, and control-system problems
• Service commercial combi ovens and other specialized kitchen equipment
• Document service findings, parts used, and labor accurately
• Communicate professionally with customers and coordinate field service visits
• Work independently while maintaining KLR's standards for quality and customer service

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience servicing commercial refrigeration or commercial kitchen equipment
• Strong electrical and mechanical diagnostic skills
• Ability to troubleshoot equipment independently
• Experience with Rational, Alto-Shaam, or other commercial combi ovens is highly desirable
• Relevant manufacturer training and certifications are advantageous
• Valid driver's license and ability to operate a company service vehicle
• Professional communication skills, reliability, and integrity

Relocation and Employment

This position requires living and working in **St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands**.

KLR provides a furnished studio apartment free for the first 60 days to assist with the transition. Applicants are responsible for their own relocation expenses.
