**Position Summary**

The Mechanic Level II is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, maintaining, and improving production and processing equipment within a fresh produce manufacturing environment.

**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**

· Maintain Ishida scales, metal detectors, checkweighers, conveyors, baggers, labeling systems, and processing equipment.

· Perform preventive maintenance and repairs.

· Diagnose mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and basic electrical issues.

· Follow GMP, HACCP, SQF, OSHA, and Lockout/Tagout requirements.

· Complete Upkeep work orders and document repairs.

**Qualifications**

· Minimum of 3 years’ experience in in food processing or manufacturing

· Experience with conveyors, motors, pumps, pneumatics and packaging equipment.

· Experience in fresh produce or food processing preferred.

· Reliable and Punctual; able to work within a flexible schedule.

· Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred

**Education**

· Any combination of education and experience that provides the needed knowledge and skills.

· Forklift certification is required

Able to sit and work at a computer keyboard for extended periods of time. Lift and move up to 50 pounds occasionally. Flexibility to travel by conventional means including aircraft. Variations in conditions may occur. Frequently entering in and out of cold room environment with exposure to temperatures between 32 to 38 degrees for one to two hours at a time.

Pay: $22.50 per hour
