The Role

Industrial Maintenance Mechanic – 2nd Shift Clemens Food Group | Onsite Schedule: Tuesday–Saturday | Approximately 1:00 PM–11:00 PM Why Join Clemens Food Group? Some mechanics are happiest when they're solving problems, working with their hands, and keeping equipment running. If that sounds like you, this could be your next opportunity. At Clemens Food Group, we're looking for an Industrial Maintenance Mechanic who enjoys diagnosing mechanical issues, tackling hands-on repairs, and helping production equipment operate safely and reliably. This isn't a role where you'll be doing the exact same thing every day. You'll work with a variety of mechanical systems, respond to equipment challenges, and contribute to preventive maintenance efforts that help keep operations moving. You'll also have the opportunity to share your experience with less seasoned mechanics while continuing to strengthen your own technical capabilities. The Impact You'll Make When equipment goes down, production depends on maintenance professionals who can identify the problem and get things moving again. As a Maintenance Mechanic II, your work will directly contribute to: Equipment reliability: Keeping conveyors, drives, and mechanical assemblies operating effectively. Production continuity: Diagnosing mechanical breakdowns and helping restore equipment to service. Preventive maintenance: Identifying wear, completing inspections, and addressing potential failures before they become bigger problems. Team capability: Sharing technical knowledge and providing hands-on support to developing mechanics. Continuous improvement: Looking beyond the immediate repair to understand why mechanical failures occur. Your success won't simply be measured by how quickly you fix something, but also by how effectively you troubleshoot, complete repairs, and help prevent problems from returning. What You'll Do You'll be part of the maintenance team responsible for supporting manufacturing equipment throughout the operation. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include: Installing, aligning, tracking, and repairing conveyor systems, including V-belts, timing belts, and modular belts. Maintaining and repairing chain drives, tensioners, and lubrication systems. Diagnosing worn or failing mechanical components and performing necessary repairs or replacements. Completing intermediate fabrication work, including drilling, tapping, mounting, and basic welding. Assisting with hydraulic and pneumatic system repairs involving cylinders, valves, regulators, and flow controls. Performing preventive maintenance inspections and equipment servicing. Troubleshooting mechanical failures using logical, systematic problem-solving techniques. Reading mechanical schematics, technical drawings, and equipment manuals. Responding to equipment breakdowns and helping restore operations safely and efficiently. Providing technical guidance and hands-on assistance to Maintenance Mechanic I team members. What Makes This Role Exciting? You'll solve real mechanical problems. From conveyor tracking issues to mechanical drive failures, you'll use your technical knowledge to diagnose equipment problems and determine practical solutions. You'll have room to work independently. We're looking for someone who can confidently handle routine mechanical repairs with limited supervision while recognizing when collaboration or additional technical support is needed. You'll work across multiple mechanical systems. Conveyors, chain drives, hydraulics, pneumatics, fabrication, and mechanical assemblies are all part of the role. If you enjoy variety and hands-on work, you'll have opportunities to apply a broad range of skills. You'll make a visible difference. Your work helps minimize equipment interruptions, support production, and improve overall equipment reliability. You'll contribute to the team's development. As a Mechanic II, you'll have opportunities to support less experienced mechanics, share troubleshooting knowledge, and help strengthen the maintenance team's capabilities. What We're Looking For We're looking for a mechanically skilled, dependable individual who enjoys solving problems and takes pride in doing quality work. Core technical capabilities: Hands-on experience maintaining and repairing industrial or manufacturing equipment. Strong understanding of conveyor systems, belt tracking, and mechanical drives. Working knowledge of chain drives, tensioning, and lubrication. Practical familiarity with hydraulic and pneumatic components. Ability to complete intermediate mechanical fabrication and repair tasks. Ability to diagnose mechanical failures using a systematic approach. Understanding of preventive maintenance practices. Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and technical manuals. Confidence performing routine repairs with limited supervision. Experience that would be helpful: Approximately 2–4 years of industrial or mechanical maintenance experience. Experience working with
