Position Overview

Summit Search Partners is recruiting an experienced Industrial Maintenance Technician for a client operating in the mining and aggregates industry near Alice, Texas. This hands-on role supports safe, reliable operation of aggregate processing equipment through preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and timely repairs. The client’s identity will be shared during the recruiting process.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair crushers, screens, conveyors, pumps, motors, and related aggregate processing equipment.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance to improve equipment uptime and reduce unplanned downtime.
• Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and basic electrical faults; repair or replace bearings, gearboxes, belts, pulleys, and other components.
• Complete welding, fabrication, and equipment modifications when qualified and required.
• Coordinate with plant operations on maintenance priorities, equipment conditions, and safe return to service.
• Follow lockout/tagout and applicable site safety procedures; document maintenance work and equipment issues.

Qualifications

• Industrial maintenance experience required; experience in mining, aggregates, quarrying, crushing, or similar heavy industrial operations strongly preferred.
• Proven mechanical troubleshooting and hands-on repair ability with industrial processing or material-handling equipment.
• Working knowledge of hydraulic systems, motors, drives, and basic electrical troubleshooting.
• Welding and fabrication skills preferred.
• Ability to work independently, communicate effectively, and prioritize safe, reliable production.

Compensation & Employment

• Hourly pay: $35–$40, based on experience and qualifications.
• Full-time W-2 employee position with company benefits.
• Truck allowance may be offered to the right candidate.
• Night shift schedule: Monday night through Saturday morning. Specific shift hours, benefits, and overtime expectations will be discussed during the hiring process.
