Company: C&B Equipment

Job Description
C&B Equipment is growing, and we're looking for an experienced Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team!
C&B Equipment is a locally owned and operated heavy equipment dealership specializing in used equipment sales, rentals, and service. We work on a wide variety of construction and industrial equipment, including telehandlers, skid steers, wheel loaders, excavators, boom lifts, and more.
We're looking for a dependable, hardworking mechanic who takes pride in their work, can troubleshoot problems independently, and isn't afraid to get their hands dirty.
This isn't a position where you'll be doing the same repair every day. We work on a wide variety of equipment, making every day a little different.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair heavy construction equipment.
- Perform repairs on diesel engines, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, transmissions, and drivetrains.
- Conduct preventative maintenance, inspections, and equipment servicing.
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical problems using diagnostic equipment and service manuals.
- Prepare used equipment for resale and rental.
- Inspect incoming equipment and identify necessary repairs.
- Perform repairs efficiently while maintaining quality workmanship.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Communicate repair findings and necessary parts to management.
- Work independently and manage multiple repair projects.
Qualifications
- Previous experience repairing heavy equipment, diesel equipment, or agricultural machinery preferred.
- Strong understanding of diesel engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems.
- Ability to diagnose problems rather than simply replace parts.
- Experience with construction equipment such as SkyTrak, JLG, Bobcat, Caterpillar, Wacker Neuson, and similar brands is a plus.
- Ability to read hydraulic and electrical schematics.
- Must have a valid driver's license.
- Must be dependable, motivated, and detail-oriented.
- Must be able to work independently and as part of a small team.
- Must have a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Own tools preferred.
What We Offer
- Competitive pay based on experience and abilities.
- Full-time, steady employment.
- Opportunity to work on a wide variety of equipment.
- A growing, locally owned business.
- Small-team environment where your work matters.
- Opportunity for advancement as the company grows.
Why Work at C&B Equipment?

We're looking for someone who wants to be part of our growth, takes ownership of their work, and enjoys the challenges that come with working on heavy equipment.
If you're an experienced mechanic who can diagnose it, fix it, and take pride in doing the job right, we'd like to hear from you!
