Job Overview: Pay is going to be based on Experience

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Heavy Truck and Equipment Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Semi-truck and Equipement maintenance and repair, with a focus on heavy-duty trucks and diesel engines. The successful applicant will be responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs on a variety of vehicles, including tractor-trailers and heavy machinery.

Duties:

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on vehicles, including oil changes, tire repairs, brake repairs, and other maintenance tasks.
• Diagnose and repair problems with engines, transmissions, and other components.
• Use power tools and equipment to perform tasks efficiently and effectively.
• Conduct tire service, including mounting and balancing.
• Repair and maintain diesel engines.
• Lift and move heavy equipment and vehicles, as needed.
• Inspect and test vehicles after repairs to ensure they are safe and functioning properly.
• Document all work performed, including labor and parts used.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace to ensure a safe and efficient work environment.

Experience:

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as an Automotive Mechanic or in a related field.
• Experience with heavy-duty trucks and diesel engines is required.
• Knowledge of brake repair and tire service is essential.
• Experience with Caterpillar engines is preferred.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks as required.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
