The right candidate is comfortable working in homes and in commercial or industrial settings.

- Perform panel and service upgrades, subpanel and circuit installations, EV charger installations, generator connections, lighting, and equipment feeds.
- Install and work with commercial conduit, feeders, panels, disconnects, grounding and bonding, and equipment connections.
- Read plans, panel schedules, and basic one-line diagrams.
- Supervise and train an apprentice or small crew.
- Run smaller jobs, organize field work, and communicate with customers and owners.
- Maintain clean, professional, high-quality work in occupied homes and businesses.
Required experience and qualifications
- Proven residential service and troubleshooting experience.
- Experience with panel changes, service upgrades, subpanels, grounding and bonding, and branch-circuit work.
- Commercial experience with conduit, feeders, panels, disconnects, and equipment installation.
- Ability to read plans, panel schedules, and basic one-line diagrams.
- Experience supervising apprentices or small crews.
- Professional customer communication.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation, CDL is a plus.
- Ability to pass a paid practical field evaluation.
Preferred qualifications
- New Jersey qualified journeyman registration or experience working under an electrical contractor’s license. Registered Journeyman or able to register with the NJ Board of Electrical Contractors.
- Experience with generators, EV chargers, solar interconnections, transformers, switchgear, industrial work, or medium voltage.
- OSHA training, MSHA Training, lift or forklift experience, a CDL, or towing and equipment experience.
Compensation is based on demonstrated experience, productivity, leadership, customer-service ability, and practical evaluation. The position begins with a paid working evaluation and may grow into a long-term lead-foreman role.
