**About the Role**

Foppers Pet Treat Bakery is seeking a hands-on, results-driven Packaging Operations Manager to oversee packaging operations across three manufacturing facilities. This role is responsible for daily execution, employee training and development, operational efficiency, and continuous improvement.

Our SQF- and Human Grade-certified manufacturing environment operates under rigorous food-safety, quality, and product-integrity protocols. The successful candidate will ensure consistent standards across all three facilities while driving productivity, accountability, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• **Packaging Operations:** Oversee daily packaging activities, staffing, schedules, line assignments, changeovers, and production targets across all three facilities.
• **Leadership:** Directly manage and develop packaging team leads, and packaging employees. Establish clear expectations and accountability for performance, training, and employee development.
• **Continuous Improvement:** Improve line efficiency, throughput, labor utilization, and equipment uptime while reducing downtime, packaging waste, defects, and rework.
• **Cross-Facility Coordination:** Standardize procedures and best practices, coordinate priorities with plant leadership, and address operational challenges across all locations.
• **Quality and Food Safety:** Ensure adherence to SQF, Human Grade, GMP, sanitation, allergen-control, traceability, labeling, and other applicable quality and food-safety requirements.
• **Performance Management:** Monitor KPIs, analyze production data, resolve recurring issues, and implement measurable improvement plans.
• **Cross-Functional Collaboration:** Partner with Processing Production, Maintenance, Quality, and senior operations leadership to maintain reliable, efficient, compliant packaging operations.

Qualifications

**Required:**

• 5+ years of manufacturing, production, or packaging experience.
• Demonstrated leadership experience managing production employees; supervisory or management experience.
• Strong understanding of packaging-line operations, staffing, scheduling, troubleshooting, and production performance.
• Proven ability to improve efficiency, reduce waste, resolve operational issues, and develop employees.
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work across three facilities and maintain a hands-on presence on the packaging floor.

**Strongly Preferred:**

• Bilingual English/Spanish communication skills.
• Food manufacturing or other regulated manufacturing experience.
• Familiarity with SQF, GMPs, HACCP-based programs, and audit readiness.
• Experience with packaging equipment, changeovers, Lean manufacturing, and continuous improvement.
• Experience overseeing multiple packaging lines or departments.

Compensation

• Base Salary: $70,000–$75,000 annually, based on experience.
• Bonus Opportunity: 10% of base salary based on established performance goals.
