**HBI Truck Lines is seeking an experienced Lead Diesel Mechanic/Trailer Technician in Defiance, OH!** We’re looking for a hands-on leader with stellar communication skills, a strong team-oriented mindset, and the ability to lead by example while working side-by-side with the crew. **Schedule:** Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM–4:00 PM, with overtime and occasional weekend breakdown phone coverage.

**Pay Structure:**

• **Hourly rate + OT after 40 hours**
• **Weekly Paychecks**

**Requirements:**

• **2+ years of diesel mechanic experience**
• **Proven leadership skills**, with experience leading a team technicians and coordinating shop workflow
• **Experience with budgets and cost of ownership per unit understanding,** our Defiance location is part of our entire shop ecosystem and requires each leader to partner with all of the other locations to maximize uptime and minimize waste.
• **Strong diagnostic skills**, including computer, engine, and electrical diagnostics
• **Troubleshooting expertise** in cranking systems, fuel systems, and air brake systems
• **Own complete set of mechanic’s tools**
• **Valid, clean driver’s license**
• **CDL A is a plus**
• **Positive, team-first attitude** with effective communication skills and a hands-on approach to leadership
