The position is located in Cincinnati, OH will work a hybrid schedule with 3 days per week in the office . You will be responsible for: Act as the subject matter expert (SME) for all Harmonic Lab equipment and processes, providing technical guidance and support to ensure optimal performance. Serve as an SME for lab equipment and preventive maintenance, ensuring adherence to industry standards and best practices for maintaining equipment accuracy and reliability. Assist in the identification, development, and implementation of equipment enhancements to improve efficiency and performance in R D activities. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, optimize, and validate processes, ensuring alignment with engineering standards and project objectives. Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation, including user manuals, technical specifications, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) for equipment and processes. Serve as the functional lab lead for technical staff on equipment functionality, best practices, and troubleshooting techniques to foster a culture of knowledge sharing. Ensure compliance with industry regulations, safety standards, and quality control measures in all engineering practices and R D projects. Stay current with advancements in engineering practices, technologies, and equipment relevant to the research and development field. Ensure strict adherence to Good Documentation Practices (GDP) to maintain compliance and uphold quality standards in regulated environments. Qualifications and Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics or a related field is required . Proven background in equipment maintenance, validation processes, or relevant technical experience within R D settings is required . Demonstrated ability to analyze and effectively solve complex technical problems in a laboratory environment is required . Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams. Understanding of industry standard instrumentation and communication protocols (RS232, Ethernet/IP, TCP/IP, etc.) is required . Ability to manage multiple priorities and work efficiently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Knowledge of programming languages, for example, LabVIEW and/or Python among others is preferred. Ability to use SolidWorks (or equivalent) to design functional test fixtures or components is preferred.
