**Position Overview**

Quality Roofing Specialists is seeking a skilled, dependable, and detail-oriented Roofing Maintenance Specialist to perform roof repairs, preventative maintenance, job completion punch lists, and minor handyman finishing work.

This is a hands-on field position for someone who understands roofing systems, takes pride in quality workmanship, and can identify and resolve outstanding issues efficiently.

The ideal candidate is a problem-solver who can work independently, follow company standards, communicate professionally with customers and team members, and ensure every job is completed to a high standard.

**Key Responsibilities**

1. Roof Repairs and Maintenance

• Diagnose and repair roof leaks, damaged shingles, tiles, flashing, pipe penetrations, and other roofing components.• Perform preventative maintenance to help extend roof life and prevent future problems.• Identify roofing deficiencies, water intrusion risks, and potential problem areas.• Complete repairs on composition, tile, flat, and other roofing systems within your qualifications.• Inspect completed repairs and verify workmanship, watertightness where reasonably verifiable, and site cleanliness.• Document repair work with clear photos, notes, and updates.

2. Job Completion and Punch Lists

• Visit completed roofing projects to identify and resolve outstanding punch-list items.• Correct installation deficiencies, cosmetic issues, and minor workmanship problems.• Complete touch-ups, adjustments, and finishing details to meet company quality standards.• Coordinate with project managers and installation crews to resolve outstanding issues.• Verify that assigned items are completed before reporting a job as finished.• Maintain accurate records of completed work and any remaining issues.

3. Handyman and Finishing Work

• Perform minor finishing repairs related to roofing and construction projects.• Complete touch-ups involving fascia, trim, gutters, sealants, and other related components.• Perform minor carpentry, caulking, paint touch-ups, and hardware adjustments when needed and within your skill set.• Assist with correcting incidental damage or unfinished details associated with roofing projects.• Recognize when work falls outside the assigned scope and obtain approval before proceeding.

4. Safety, Communication, and Professionalism

• Follow all applicable safety requirements, fall-protection procedures, and company protocols.• Use ladders, tools, equipment, and personal protective equipment properly.• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe jobsite.• Communicate professionally with homeowners, project managers, and coworkers.• Report unexpected conditions, additional repair needs, material shortages, and scope changes promptly.• Represent Quality Roofing Specialists with professionalism and respect at every property.

**Qualifications and Experience**

• Previous hands-on roofing repair, maintenance, or roofing installation experience.• Working knowledge of common roofing systems, flashing, sealants, roof penetrations, and leak troubleshooting.• General handyman, carpentry, caulking, and finishing skills are a plus.• Ability to identify workmanship issues and determine appropriate corrective actions.• Comfortable working at heights and on residential and commercial roofs, as applicable.• Ability to use common roofing tools, ladders, and jobsite equipment safely.• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.• Ability to communicate clearly, document work, and follow instructions.• Ability to work independently while coordinating effectively with the office and field team.
