Diesel Truck Mechanic

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and dependable **Diesel Truck Mechanic** to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel-powered trucks and heavy-duty equipment to ensure our fleet operates safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair diesel engines, transmissions, brakes, electrical systems, and other truck components.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance and inspections.
• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical problems using diagnostic equipment.
• Repair and replace engines, fuel systems, suspension components, cooling systems, and other parts as needed.
• Complete work orders and maintain accurate service records.
• Perform safety inspections and ensure vehicles meet applicable safety standards.
• Respond to breakdowns and perform roadside repairs when necessary.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Follow company safety procedures and manufacturer specifications.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a diesel mechanic or heavy-duty truck mechanic.
• Strong knowledge of diesel engines and heavy-duty vehicle systems.
• Ability to diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic problems.
• Experience with diagnostic tools and repair equipment.
• Ability to read and understand service manuals and technical information.
• Valid driver's license; **CDL is a plus**.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
