**Position:** Class 8 Truck Mechanic

**Responsibilities:**

• Perform troubleshooting, diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on Class 8 trucks, including engines, transmissions, driveshafts, brakes, and electrical systems.
• Conduct regular inspections to ensure vehicles meet DOT and safety regulations.
• Maintain detailed work records and communicate repairs and recommendations to supervisors.
• Repair, replace, or adjust mechanical components to optimize vehicle reliability.
• Collaborate with other maintenance staff to prioritize and complete work efficiently.

**Qualifications:**

• Proven experience as a Class 8 truck mechanic or in heavy-duty diesel truck repair.
• Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, air brake systems, and electronic controls.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagnostic codes.
• Must hold relevant certifications (ASE, CDL preferred).
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced shop environment.

Pay: $28.00 - $35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 – 65.0 per week
