We are seeking a skilled and dependable **Forklift Diesel Mechanic** to join our team in the Horry County area. The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel-powered forklifts and material handling equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation. This position offers competitive pay starting at $23.00 per hour and up, depending on experience and qualifications.

**Responsibilities**

• Perform preventative maintenance on diesel forklifts and industrial equipment.
• Diagnose and repair engine, hydraulic, electrical, fuel, and transmission systems.
• Troubleshoot mechanical issues using diagnostic tools and equipment.
• Complete work orders and maintenance records accurately and timely.
• Inspect equipment for safety concerns and recommend necessary repairs.
• Repair and replace worn or damaged parts.
• Conduct equipment testing to verify repairs and operational performance.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Follow company safety policies and OSHA regulations.
• Respond to service calls as needed.

**Qualifications**

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a diesel mechanic, forklift mechanic, or heavy equipment technician preferred.
• Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, and troubleshooting techniques.
• Experience working on forklifts, construction equipment, agricultural equipment, or similar machinery.
• Ability to read and interpret service manuals, schematics, and repair documentation.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in various weather conditions when required.
• Forklift certification is a plus but not required.

**Preferred Skills**

• ASE Certification or equivalent mechanical certifications.
• Experience with Toyota, Hyster, Yale, Crown, Cat, Mitsubishi, or other material handling equipment brands.
• Welding and fabrication experience is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Pay: $23.00 - $30.00 per hour
