This position will reside in the Manufacturing Engineering department.

Your responsibilities will include evaluating test results of complex assemblies and determining root cause of failures. You will give directions for reworking and retesting failed assemblies. You will track trends to detect systemic problems. You will work closely with multiple functions such as manufacturing engineering, factory operations, and quality engineers to develop improvements in areas like yields, test procedures, cycle time, etc.

What You Will Do

  • Provide technical expertise and troubleshooting systems failing test, identifying root causes, and implementing corrective actions.
  • Investigate failure trends, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective and preventive actions to address systemic issues.
  • Support troubleshooting and repairs for circuit card assemblies (CCAs), sub-assemblies, and systems for programs at McKinney CMC such as AMRAAM, Harpoon, SM2, etc.
  • Develop and maintain troubleshooting aids, tools, and documentation to support production and test processes.
  • Work initiatives focused on reducing cycle time, minimizing touch time, and optimizing overall production costs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address technical challenges in production.
  • Operate and utilize standard electrical equipment (oscilloscopes, function generators, power supplies, etc.) to support troubleshooting and system evaluations.
  • The work assignment will be a first-shift role, with flexible start times ranging from 7am to 8am, Monday through Friday with an optional 9/80 schedule.
  • Occasional weekend work may be required to support factory operations.
  • This will be an onsite role in our McKinney, TX facility.

What You Will Learn

  • How cutting-edge technology meets the needs of America’s warfighters.
  • How to evaluate product failures, determine rework procedures, and develop improvements to prevent recurrence.

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Experience with standard electrical test equipment, including oscilloscopes, multimeters, and power supplies.
  • Experience troubleshooting and resolving issues with Circuit Card Assemblies (CCAs), sub-assemblies, and complex systems. Experience with common circuit components, such as Op-Amps, Multiplexers, H-bridges, ADC/DACs in either circuit design or troubleshooting.
  • Experience reading mechanical drawings or electrical schematics
  • Experience designing experiments to troubleshoot failures or investigate production issues such as Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) investigations.

Qualifications We Prefer
