The Role
Little Brothers Bakery is a family-owned commercial bakery in Gardena with about 120 employees and 20+ years of history. We are hiring our first full-time Plant Manager to own day-to-day plant operations across two production environments: a high-speed automated tunnel-oven line (LBB2) and a more traditional, hands-on bakery (LBB1). This is a build role, not a caretaker role. Growth on key accounts has pushed volume beyond what current maintenance reliability, production SOPs, and food safety systems were built to support. You will build sustainable processes and standards while earning the trust of a proud, long-tenured team. What you'll do - Oversee manufacturing for ~120 employees across production, quality, maintenance, and support - Directly lead Production Supervisors and the Plant Engineer/Maintenance Manager - Own plant-wide maintenance and reliability: move the team from reactive firefighting to disciplined preventive and predictive maintenance - Personally drive PM strategy, accurate equipment data, well-written PM tasks, and a fully functioning CMMS/work-order system - Champion a maintenance scorecard (PM completion, planned vs. unplanned work, downtime) and root-cause corrective action - Lead safety, quality, food safety, service, and cost performance - Partner with Operations & HR, Quality, R&D, Finance, and sister-company operations What we're looking for - 7–10+ years progressive plant leadership in bakery or food manufacturing - Hands-on experience in both production and maintenance/reliability leadership - Fluent Spanish required (day-to-day communication with production and maintenance depends on it) - Proven ability to build systems without steamrolling culture; humble, floor-first leadership - Bachelor's in Operations, Engineering, or related field preferred; HACCP and CMMS build-out experience are strong signals To apply: Apply here. Pay: $115,000.00 - $180,000.00 per year
