The Role

Industrial Maintenance Technician – 2nd Shift | Papillion Creek Foods | Omaha, NE

No 12s, no rotating weekends. Our plant runs Monday through Friday only, so your weekends stay yours.

$28–$34 an hour + $2/hr shift differential · Monday–Friday, 2:30 PM–11:00 PM

Who we are

We’re a contract manufacturer of shelf-stable sauces, dressings and marinades. We hot-fill bottles and pouches for regional and national brands and store labels, and we’re SQF certified. We’re bringing a third filling line online, which is why we’re adding two technicians to 2nd shift.

What you’ll keep running

  • Fillers, cappers, labelers, case packers and the palletizer
  • Kettles and transfer pumps
  • Troubleshooting mechanical, pneumatic and electrical problems, from 480V three-phase circuits to motors and VFDs
  • Reading Allen-Bradley ladder logic to find the fault
  • Preventive maintenance in our CMMS
  • Changeover support
  • Keeping critical spare parts on hand
  • Working with sanitation so equipment goes back together right

Building HVAC and refrigeration are handled by a contractor, and PLC program changes go through our integrator. You won’t be asked to write code.

What you need

  • 3+ years of industrial maintenance in manufacturing (food or beverage preferred)
  • Solid mechanical skills: bearings, gearboxes, conveyors, pumps and pneumatics
  • Electrical troubleshooting on 480V three-phase systems, motors and VFDs
  • Ability to read ladder logic for troubleshooting
  • Working knowledge of LOTO and GMP
  • Your own basic hand tools

Benefits

  • Health insurance, with 80% of your premium paid by the company
  • Dental and vision insurance
  • 12 days of paid time off and 7 paid holidays
  • 401(k) with a dollar-for-dollar match on the first 4% you contribute
  • PLC and industrial electrical courses at Metropolitan Community College, paid by the company
  • $400 a year toward tools, plus uniforms provided
