Equipment/Packing Line Mechanic

**Job Description**

The Olive Packing Company operates a food packaging facility in Port Arthur. We are looking for mechanics to to maintain and operate the company’s four food packing lines. This is a full-time position with an average of 55 hours per week up to 70 hours per week seasonally. Applicants must be available to work a flexible schedule between 5am-8pm Monday thru Friday and up to 20 Saturdays during the year.

Salary: $23/hr + DOE with opportunity to earn more

**Responsibilities**

• Operate the company’s food packaging lines
• Monitor and adjust equipment during production runs to ensure optimum efficiency
• Complete preventative maintenance on all equipment and around the facility
• Coordinate repairs, maintenance and installations with vendors
• Maintain inventory of all wear/spare parts

**Qualifications**

• Previous experience working in a manufacturing setting
• Strong attention to detail
• Skilled at troubleshooting and resolving mechanical problems that arise
• Possess strong communication skills and work ethic
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced work environment
