La Mexicana manufactures tortillas and tortilla chips in Renton. We’re hiring an experienced, hands-on Maintenance Mechanic who takes pride in keeping equipment running safely—and making repairs that last.

You’ll troubleshoot production and packaging equipment, perform preventive maintenance, and work closely with operators and supervisors to prevent breakdowns and reduce downtime.

**What you’ll do / Responsabilidades**

• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic problems on production and packaging equipment.
• Complete preventive maintenance and inspections to identify problems before equipment fails.
• Respond to breakdowns, make safe repairs and verify equipment operates correctly before returning it to Production.
• Identify the causes of recurring failures and help implement lasting solutions.
• Document repairs, parts used and follow-up work so the team can plan and prevent future downtime.
• Support equipment installations, rebuilds and improvement projects.
• Follow lockout/tagout, GMP, SQF and food-safety requirements.
• Communicate clearly with operators, supervisors and other maintenance team members.

**El trabajo se realiza directamente en el piso de producción. Sus responsabilidades incluyen diagnosticar fallas, reparar equipos, realizar mantenimiento preventivo y verificar que las máquinas funcionen correctamente antes de regresarlas a producción.**

**What you bring / Requisitos**

• At least three years of hands-on industrial maintenance experience.
• Experience troubleshooting conveyors, motors, bearings, gearboxes, sensors and pneumatic systems.
• Working knowledge of industrial electrical systems and safe troubleshooting practices.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize repairs and stay focused during breakdowns.
• Reliability, clear communication and a willingness to work closely with the production team.

**Especially valuable:** Experience in food or beverage manufacturing, commercial bakeries, tortilla production, snack foods or packaging. Experience with PLCs, VFDs, ovens, fryers or burners is a plus.

**Se requiere un mínimo de tres años de experiencia en mantenimiento industrial. Se valorará especialmente la experiencia en plantas de alimentos, bebidas, panaderías comerciales, tortillas, botanas o equipos de empaque.**

**Language skills / Idiomas**

Bilingual English and Spanish skills are strongly preferred, but not required. Spanish helps you work closely with our production team. You must be able to understand English-language manuals, safety instructions and work orders, and communicate about maintenance and safety across departments.
