Troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical equipment Install, update, maintain, and repair plant equipment Partner with production teams to minimize downtime and maintain product quality Repair and replace valves, pumps, seals, stems, O-rings, seats, bearings, and related components Perform basic electrical work, including switches, outlets, starters, and motor leads Complete basic pipe fitting as needed Safely handle equipment and chemicals Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and all plant safety procedures Identify, correct, and report safety hazards and support facility safety programs Develop a strong working knowledge of plant processes and equipment This list of duties and responsibilities is not all-inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities, as management may deem necessary from time to time. This Maintenance General Worker role offers more than an hourly wage. With a $30.33 starting rate, $1.50/hour night premium, Sunday double time, two pay increases during your first year, 3 weeks of PTO from day one, and up to 7% company 401(k) contributions , you’ll have a strong total rewards package while building your maintenance skills and growing your career. Where you’ll be working: Our Little Chute, WI, plant is home to about 140 employees. This facility is a top manufacturer of IQF sticks that are supplied to the appetizer industry. Next to the plant is our well-known Simon’s Specialty Cheese store, which has about 20 employees. Simon’s is a Wisconsin-themed store, with everything from meats and cheese to clothing and craft spirits. Agropur’s US operations produce 1 billion pounds of quality, award-winning cheese each year.
