The Role

Senior Electronic Technician Clemens Food Group Location: Hatfield, PA Shift: 1st, 2nd or 3rd shift, Tuesday - Saturday Employment Type: Full-time, Onsite Why Join Clemens Food Group? Do you enjoy solving electrical problems that others struggle to diagnose? Are you someone who likes understanding not just what failed, but why it failed and how to prevent it from happening again? At Clemens Food Group, we're looking for a Senior Electronic Technician who brings strong electrical troubleshooting skills, technical curiosity, and a passion for keeping manufacturing equipment running safely and reliably. This isn't simply about replacing failed components. It's about understanding how electrical systems, automation, and production equipment work together, and using that knowledge to solve meaningful problems. You'll work across motors, drives, PLCs, HMIs, industrial networks, and control systems, applying your expertise to challenges that directly affect manufacturing operations. The Impact You'll Make When manufacturing equipment stops working, production teams depend on skilled technicians to understand the problem and restore reliable operation. As an Senior Electronic Technician, your work will directly contribute to: Reducing equipment downtime: Diagnose and resolve electrical and automation failures that interrupt production. Improving equipment reliability: Identify underlying issues and apply effective, lasting repairs. Maintaining a safe working environment: Ensure electrical systems, safety circuits, and protective devices operate correctly. Supporting production performance: Work with production teams to address technical challenges. Maintaining technical accuracy: Keep electrical documentation, schematics, and maintenance records current. Your technical decisions will matter, and your ability to troubleshoot effectively will make a difference. What You'll Do You'll combine hands-on electrical maintenance with advanced troubleshooting and automation support. Electrical Systems & Motor Controls Install, wire, troubleshoot, and maintain DC, single-phase, and three-phase motors. Work with variable frequency drives (VFDs), servo drives, and electrical components. Size and install breakers, fuses, transformers, and wiring according to specifications. Perform insulation resistance, phase-to-phase, and other electrical diagnostic testing. Automation & Control Systems Troubleshoot, program, and maintain PLCs and HMIs. Diagnose control circuits, safety modules, and protective devices. Install, calibrate, and troubleshoot analog and digital instrumentation, including 0–10 VDC, 4–20 mA, and PNP/NPN signals. Support industrial networking and Ethernet communication troubleshooting. Problem-Solving & Production Support Investigate equipment failures and identify appropriate repairs. Work alongside production teams to minimize downtime. Interpret electrical schematics and technical diagrams. Document wiring changes, update schematics, and maintain accurate technical records. What Makes This Role Exciting? Variety in the technical challenges. One problem might involve a motor or drive. Another could require tracing an intermittent control signal, diagnosing a PLC issue, or identifying a communication failure. You'll have opportunities to work across multiple electrical and automation technologies rather than focusing on just one type of equipment. Technical independence. We're looking for someone who can investigate problems, apply sound judgment, and take ownership of their troubleshooting process while collaborating with others when needed. Visible impact. Your work supports the safe and reliable operation of manufacturing equipment. When you solve a difficult problem, the impact can be seen directly in production operations. A role that challenges your expertise. From advanced diagnostics to industrial automation, this position offers technical variety and the opportunity to apply your existing knowledge to demanding equipment issues. What We're Looking For We're interested in technicians who combine strong electrical fundamentals with practical industrial troubleshooting experience. Technical Experience 5+ years of industrial electrical maintenance experience or equivalent training. Experience troubleshooting DC, single-phase, and three-phase electrical systems. Knowledge of motors, VFDs, servo drives, and electrical protection components. Experience programming and troubleshooting PLCs and HMIs. Understanding of industrial control circuits, instrumentation, and safety systems. Ability to use multimeters, insulation testers (meggers), oscilloscopes, and other diagnostic equipment. Familiarity with industrial Ethernet communications and network troubleshooting. Ability to interpret electrical drawings and maintain accurate documentation. Knowledge of applicable electrical codes and industrial safety standards. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Paint, and SAP. Skills & Mindset Technical expertise is important
