[Source: SimplyHired] Job Title: Maintenance Technician II (2nd Shift – Food Processing) Pay: $39.05/hour Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician II to support second-shift operations in a fast-paced production environment. This role is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining food processing and packaging equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime. Schedule: 2nd Shift: 1:45 PM – 11:00 PM (end time may extend based on production needs)Initial ramp-up period (first 3 months): 6–7 days per week requiredAfter full staffing: schedule transitions to 5–6 days per week based on production demandsKey Responsibilities: Respond to equipment breakdowns, identify root causes, and implement corrective actionsPerform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, lubrication, and parts replacementDocument work orders, repairs, and parts usage in CMMSSupport production startups, changeovers, and equipment adjustmentsAssist with equipment installations, upgrades, and continuous improvement initiativesQualifications: 2+ years of maintenance experience in food processing, agriculture, or manufacturingVocational/trade school training or equivalent hands-on experience preferredStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving skillsTechnical Skills: Experience with food processing and packaging equipment (washers, conveyors, cutters, dryers, sorters, baggers, sealers, case packers)Ability to diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systemsAbility to read and interpret mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, manuals, and SOPsBasic knowledge of PLC-controlled equipment (fault recognition, sensors, alarms)Familiarity with motors, gearboxes, bearings, belts, chains, pumps, and valvesJoin our team and play a key role in maintaining efficient and safe production operations.
