[Source: ZipRecruiter] A day in the life At 2:00pm your shift begins in a high-speed food manufacturing plant in Pedricktown, NJ. You walk the production floor, listen for unusual vibrations, and check line readiness. A packaging conveyor needs a quick pneumatic adjustment before the next run; later, an unplanned stoppage calls for fast electrical diagnostics on a 480V circuit. You close the night documenting parts used, updating maintenance logs, and leaving the shop organized for the next crew at 10:30pm. What youll take on Preventative and corrective maintenance across processing and packaging machineryHands-on troubleshooting and repair of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systemsRoot-cause diagnosis, component replacement, and functional testing to restore performanceAccurate recordkeeping of repairs, parts consumption, and equipment modificationsSupport for changeovers, setups, and line tuning to meet production targetsRapid response to breakdowns to minimize downtimeConfident use of manuals, schematics, prints, and work ordersCare and organization of tools, spares, and the maintenance shopBasic facility upkeep: light plumbing, electrical, and carpentry as neededSafe use of hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic instrumentsStrict adherence to GMP, food safety, and site safety proceduresMaintaining a clean, orderly, and safe work area What you bring 2 3+ years as a Maintenance Technician or Industrial MechanicBackground in food manufacturing or other high-speed production (preferred)Strong mechanical aptitude paired with solid electrical troubleshooting abilityAbility to read electrical prints and work safely across multiple voltagesExperience with hydraulics and pneumaticsUnderstanding of GMP and food safety practicesClear communicator and collaborative teammate with strong problem-solving skillsDetail-oriented and comfortable in a fast-paced setting Schedule, pay, and benefits Location: Pedricktown, NJCompensation: $34.00 $36.00 per hour + shift differentialShift: 2nd Shift (2:00pm 10:30pm)Overtime: AvailableEnvironment: Food manufacturingBenefits: Full package with 100% employer-paid Medical, Dental, and Vision Proficiencies Mechanical troubleshooting and assemblyElectrical troubleshooting, including 120/208/240/480 Voltage SystemsExperience working in manufacturing environments Commutable from Swedesboro, Pennsville, Wilmington, New Castle, Glassboro, Deptford, Salem.
